"10 things I wish someone told me when I was younger"

1. Being a perfectionist will make you content in life

Never being content with your own work and constantly trying to top yourself will absolutely make you feel fulfilled.

2. If you can read it, believe it

Anything that is composed of letters and able to be interpreted is true in every sense of the word, like this list for example.

3. Celebrities are above the law

We’ve all seen superstars. They are charismatic and kind, which means they are not responsible for any repercussions from any of their actions.

4. Whining is the best way to get what you want

Do you ever need something fast? Whining is the quickest way to achieve fast appeasement. Students and teachers alike are extremely responsive to this tactic.

5. Homework is for free blocks

Are you behind on homework? Do you need to study for an upcoming test? Well blow that off and watch TV. There is always time during free blocks and tutorials. Procrastination is key.

6. Not cleaning up after yourself makes you quirky

Those stacks of cups and plates left out on the tables really makes my peers seem quirky. There’s just something about it that makes me want to be friends with them.

7. How do you know you’re allergic if you don’t eat more of it?

Why should a doctor determine what you can eat or not? Why should I trust that nuts are lethal to me by a person in a white lab coat? The only way to know for sure is to try it yourself.

8. Studying: What’s the point?

If you need to study for a test, then you are doing something wrong. Studying will only make you more stressed and sometimes even make you get a worse grade than if you hadn’t.

9. How to count to ten

Arguably the most necessary skill to have from Kindergarten upwards. This definitive attribute will help you in every subject from AP Calculus to Lifelong Fitness.
