Elizabeth Kraunchanka: A Photographer to Remember

Elizabeth Kraunchanka can often be spotted photographing or hanging out with friends around campus. Her creative personality has led her to become the editor of the yearbook and an avid photographer. Although she has a quiet personality, her artistic nature greatly defines her.

Elizabeth has been at The Gregory School since her junior year of high school. Before coming to TGS she went to Catalina Foothills High School but decided to leave to meet new people and garner a different experience.

When asked about the largest difference between her freshman year and her senior year, Elizabeth responded that she has changed not only academically, but also as a person. Over the past two years, she has begun to take on more responsibility and leadership in yearbook, along with other activities.

As a senior, she has plenty of advice for underclassmen. One thing that she recommends is to “not care about what other people think or say” and just be who you want to be.

Elizabeth gave some additional advice that she believes all students should heed: she thinks that a way to manage the heavy workload throughout high school is to use the support of teachers and staff at TGS because they are willing to devote their time to helping students.

Elizabeth plans to attend Pima Community College for two years and then transfer to the University of Arizona. Because of her passion for art, she has chosen to major in graphic design, a dream which she hopes to pursue after college.

She also hopes to travel and experience life in a big city. Her sister lives in New York, so that is a top destination on her list.

With a bright future ahead of her, you will for sure hear Elizabeth’s name and remember her work. Until then, be sure to stop by a photography show in the near future to support the work of an incredible artist.
