Will, JJ, and Edan

Halfway through the blazing summer, Green Fields School announced to their students that there would not be enough money for another school year and declared bankruptcy. The Gregory School adopted three students looking to finish their senior year. William Moon, John Hawkins-Pound (JJ), and Edan Uccetta found themselves registering for the Gregory 2019-20 school year and have already settled in quite comfortably.

Having to leave your school your senior year, what are your thoughts?

JJ and Edan: “It was a great time and a great school. It really felt like home.”

Will: “I was there 12 years and I didn’t get to finish my 13th. It’s ridiculous, it sucks.”

Despite their initial thoughts about coming to Gregory, all three boys already seemed interested in clubs or sports. When questioned on the topic, each spoke up eagerly, starting with JJ stating he would love to make a board game club. Edan spoke up as well about his love for theatre while Will talked about joining the basketball team.

A note worth taking, neither one of the boys could stop talking about the Sage Dining corn and said the corn itself was worth coming h(ear).

How was the transition over to Gregory?

JJ: “I was pretty sad for a while; I was mostly just kind of shocked because I was expecting to have a relaxing summer. I was expecting to graduate there and stay in one place.”

What advice do you have for underclassmen?

JJ: “Change is inevitable, just accept it.”

What do you do in your free time?

Edan: “A lot of computer coding, it’s very fun.”

JJ: “Board games, but I should really figure out something else to do.”

What do you guys do together?

JJ: “Play lots of board games.”

Will: “Yeah and we watch a lot of A24 movies, only the best.”

How are you enjoying Gregory?

JJ: “There were a lot of people deciding where to go after Green Fields, and a lot of them decided to not come to The Gregory School and I feel bad for them because this is just the best school.”

Edan: “This is definitely the best choice.”

It’s clear to see that these three boys are enjoying the perks of Gregory, specifically the corn. Aside from the food, they made sure to make known the kindness they have been shown throughout their stay. Gregory has accepted three wonderful seniors.
